Invite a statistician in your class

Statbel Junior is a starting point in the discovery of public statistics. We are happy to introduce your class to our tool, or to a more comprehensive set of figures and statistics. Because when they are not busy producing statistics, our statisticians are also happy to come to your classroom.

As Belgian statistical office, Statbel is fully committed to statistical literacy. And because we know our data inside out, we are also happy to share them with your class. From the Statbel Junior website, we also look at the specific situation in the class, in terms of age for example, examine the municipality of the school in figures and engage in a conversation about the different words and ways to display statistics.

A visit by a statistician takes at least 1 hour, but can also be extended to suit your class or school.

Statbel Junior has been designed for children and young people aged 10 to 14, and so is ideal for the 5^th and 6^th years of primary school and the 1^st and 2^nd years of secondary school. Adapted content can be provided for younger or older groups.

The visit is completely free of charge, and the date will be decided in consultation with the school.
